Materials & Operations Manager
Array Networks, a leader in application delivery and security is seeking a Materials & Operations Manager responsible for maintaining ideal levels of materials and supplies to ensure optimal business efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Materials & Operations Manager will establish procedures, monitor prices, and maintain relationships with suppliers. The primary objective will be to anticipate and forecast material and service demands. In order to be successful in this role, superior logistical experience and insights will be required to keep shelves stocked and supplies on hand. The Materials & Operations Manager will be using various Oracle modules, physical inventory checks, and follow purchasing procedures and specifications to accomplish the job responsibilities. The ideal candidate will strive to make sure all departments receive supplies and materials accurately, reliably, at the best possible price, and that inventory numbers in Oracle are accurate at any given time. Basic facility operations and maintenance are a vital secondary responsibility for the Materials & Operations Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Anticipate and forecast material and service demands
- Purchase raw materials and supplies according to demand and specifications
- Negotiate and follow up on purchasing agreements with vendors
- Oversee procedures for shipping, receiving and storing raw materials
- Maintain inventory levels to ensure customer orders ship on time
- Search for new materials, vendors, and processes to ensure optimum quality, value and reliability
- Supervise and maintain the physical inventory of materials
- Ensure materials acquisition and storage comply with company guidelines
- Supervise, evaluate and coach staff members
- Maintain inventory records
- Resolve invoicing issues in cooperation with suppliers and accounts payable
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain and inventory management processes
- Hands-on experience with forecasting and material planning
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Analytical thinking with problem-solving aptitude
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Ability to lead team members
- Customer service-oriented
- In depth, super-user knowledge of Oracle ERP and Agile PLM
- Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, preferably with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
